In 1994 Nadine F. Pfautz, SPHR began providing part-time human resource consulting services to small businesses. In 2004 Ms. Pfautz chose to expand her practice into a full-time venture designed to help businesses become more effective, efficient, and compliant in the handling of their human resource responsibilities. C.H.A.R.T. Consulting serves three primary kinds of clientele, including start-up businesses looking to offer reasonable benefits, establish fair and equitable policies, and comply with their legal responsibilities. C.H.A.R.T. Consulting also provides services on an hourly or project basis to small businesses with basic HR functions in place, but in need of more complex expertise or knowledge to handle the employee relations issues and advanced human resource management responsibilities. In larger organizations with dedicated human resource staff, she provides project-based assistance or strategic focus.
Ms. Pfautz has demonstrated her expertise in the core principles of HR practices and the application of those principles, earning her a coveted designation as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) in 1997 by the Human Resource Certification Institute, an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She continues to complete recertification requirements in order to retain this designation.
In addition to her human resource expertise, Ms. Pfautz has more than 18 years experience as an adjunct professor and instructor teaching both credit and non-credit courses and seminars in Human Resource Management, Principles of Management, Legal Issues in Hiring, Effective Discipline and Termination, Performance Appraisals, Effective Communication, and other related topics.
Active in the South Shore Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Pfautz has served as chairman of both the Committee for Small Business and the Human Resource Group Advisory Board. Recognized for her leadership on the task force that developed the Chamber's Business Education Series, Ms. Pfautz landed on the cover of the March/April 2009 issue of Waves, the News Magazine of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce, as part of the cover story entitled "Small Business, Big Plans."
